To introduce myself, I'm Timothy F. Dowty, a Marriage Family Therapist licensed in the state of Nevada (License# 0763). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and a Master's in Counseling Psychology.

In practice since 1993. I'm a clinical member of AAMFT (American Association of Marriage Family Therapists), I also teach psychology at the College of Southern Nevada, and provide workplace presentations for many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).


The information, suggestions and examples offered are meant to give you a set of tools to develop the real and functional solutions needed to resolve your problems and issues. You can learn more about various concerns, and find a guide to knowing yourself better. To serve this goal, the counseling approach used throughout this site is: cognitive-behavioral.
